Why are most actors and models depressed?
We come across many celebrities who had been depressed at some point in life or have ended life due to depression.
It leaves us questioning why does the person who has fame, beauty, money, respect and love suffer from depression?
A major reason for depression in such celebrities from a medical perspective:-
Actors and models tend to lose and gain weight in a short duration for different roles.
For some films, they require a lean and slim body structure but for other muscular body structure.
To keep up the demand of the films, they follow extreme exercise, harsh crash diets and various other diets.
What is a crash diet?
In simple words, a crash diet is a low-calorie diet.
It helps in losing more weight in a short span of time. This generally includes cutting off fat and sugar from the diet.
1.Blood Sugar Swings.
Exercise
When we work out harsh to sweat and raise heartbeat, blood sugar may spike, then drop. Intense or vigour exercise can make blood sugar drop for several hours afterwards. Actors and models who undergo harsh work out sessions stimulate blood sugar swings which does more harm to the body then anyone can think.
Check your blood sugar before, during, and after you exercise, you'll notice the difference.
Hypoglycemia
Hypoglycemia is a condition that occurs when the sugar levels in blood are too low.
This happens due to many reasons but for people who frequently lose and gain weight, the main reason for hyperglycemia is a crash diet. The sugar intake of such people is relatively very low or negligible.
Hypoglycemia can lead to irritability, fatigue or feeling of discomfort.
2. Fats.
Fat plays a very important role in the functioning of the brain. Cutting off fat suddenly or not taking the fats which are required for the body can affect the functioning of the brain.
Harsh exercise and frequent losing and gaining of weight lead to metabolic disorders, low sugar level, mood swings and ultimately depression.
